Community Invited to Wellness Fair

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ingleside will host a wellness fair April 27.

The community is invited to the "Spring Into Wellness Health Fair" from 2-4 p.m. April 27 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 25519 W. Route 134, in Ingleside.

This event is sponsored by Adventures in Wellness Education, owned by Grayslake area personal trainer Courtney Doninger, and Journeys Health and Wellness Center in Lakemoor, owned by Kimberly Frank.

The event is free, but attendees are asked to bring food and toiletry donations for the Christian Outreach of Lutherans (C.O.O.L.) West food pantry.

β€œWe will have 18 different experts available to promote health and wellness. Our goal is to reach young and old with education on fitness, nutrition, wellness coaching, spirituality, finance, as well as mental, cardiovascular and dental health,” said Doninger, event coordinator.

The staff of Journeys will provide education on different massage modalities, energy healing, wellness coaching and fitness.

Attendees to the event should dress comfortably to try yoga and pilates.

Children can visit the youth booth for a chair massage and age-appropriate information on sugar, salt, exercise and proper hydration from their peers.

All ages can take a turn at the wellness wheel to answer questions and earn prizes. An esthetician will be performing complimentary eyebrow waxing and a doula will discuss the use of hypnosis in labor and for smoking cessation.Β
