Grayslake Hit With Over 7 Inches Of Snow
For some people, any snow is too much snow. For others, the five inches that fell are welcomed and long overdue. Take at look at snowfall totals around the area.
Winter finally decided to make an appearance in the past 12 hours. Grayslake was covered in a reported over 7.5 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.
Gurnee also reported 7.5 inches, Lake Zurich, 8 inches, and Mundelein, 8.2 inches.

The day that began with 41 degree temperatures changed rapidly around 4 p.m. as temperatures dropped, rain fell and then changed into huge, wet snowflakes.
Fortunately the snow hasn't caused too many issues for residents, said Greg Formica of the Grayslake Fire Department. He said there were two minor accidents and one tree that fell on some wires that neighbors mistakenly thought was a garage fire.
