It's Not Too Late: Grace Period For Voter Registration
First time voters or those who need to update an address in Lake County have a grace period until March 13.

Grace period registration is now available to Lake County residents who need to register to vote for the March 20 Primary Election. This registration is available only at the County Clerk's office, 18 N. County St., Waukegan, Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. through the close of business on MarchΒ 13.
Registering under grace provisions allows county residents to register for the first time or update a new address in Lake County. New registrants must be U.S. citizens, residents of their precinct for 30Β days before Election Day, 18Β years old on or before the election, and are required to provide two forms of identification. Those who register under the grace period provision must vote at the time of registration.

Voter registration through deputy registrars across the county will re-open on MarchΒ 22, two days after the General Primary Election in accordance with election law.
