Convict Spat on 2 Prison Workers, Threw 'Liquid' on 2 Others: Complaint

The arsonist was charged with four counts of aggravated battery.

A convicted arsonist spat on two prison workers and threw a “liquid” on two others while he was locked up at Stateville Correctional Center this summer, according to a criminal complaint filed in Will County court.

Quintley Burrell, 41, faces four new charges of aggravated battery in connection with his alleged spitting and liquid throwing.

Burrell was only in Stateville for about a month when he launched his saliva and liquid attack on the corrections workers in August, the complaint said.

The warrant for Burrell’s arrest carries a $250,000 bond.

Burrell has since been moved to Downstate Menard Correctional Center, the home of wife-killer Drew Peterson and Nightmare on Hickory Street murderers Josh Miner and Adam Landerman.

Burrell has done prison time for arson, residential arson, domestic battery, violating an order of protection, criminal damage to property and aggravated battery.
