Drowning Victim Identified as Homeless Shorewood Man

The man found floating face-up in the DuPage River Monday afternoon was identified as a homeless person from Shorewood.

The body of William Klem, 44, was found by a fisherman just west of the Route 59 bridge.

The Shorewood police are investigating the death and are awaiting on the results of toxicological testing.

Klem was identified through tattoo comparison and by a hospital bracelet.

Klem filed to divorce his wife three months ago.
