Jailed Abuser Charged With Causing Great Bodily Harm to Child

A $1 million warrant was issued for the Joliet man, who is already in jail.

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet man already in jail for abusing a girlfriend was charged with causing great bodily harm to a child younger than 13.

A $1 million arrest warrant was issued for 22-year-old Adrian Bolognani, who has been incarcerated at the Will County jail since April 23.

Bolognani was locked up on an 86-day sentence after his probation was revoked for a 2016 domestic battery conviction. Bolognani’s probation was revoked for failing to pay a $502 fine, neglecting to obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and complying with its recommendations, and not attending and completing domestic violence counseling, according to court records.

On Friday, Bolognani was charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a child and single counts each of aggravated battery and obstructing justice.

On March 2, Bolognani squeezed a child’s chest, seriously injuring the youth, according to a criminal complaint filed in Will County court. Then, 20 days later, Bolognani lied to a police officer about his name, the complaint said.
