Mystery 'Substance' Sickens 2 Joliet West Students
The students ingested a mystery substance, according to the high school district.

JOLIET, IL — Two Joliet West High School students received medical treatment after ingesting some mystery substance, the district revealed Wednesday afternoon.
"Two students received medical treatment due to ingesting an unknown substance," the school district said in a message sent to parents. "Joliet West High School would like to take the opportunity to ask parents to talk to their students about taking, purchasing, or using unknown or illegal substances."
A high school district spokeswoman said she could not disclose whether or not the students were hospitalized, or if they told where or from whom they obtained the unidentified "substance."

The Joliet police said they had not been notified about the situation Wednesday afternoon.
