A second man was also stabbed and a third was locked up early Wednesday morning.

JOLIET, IL — A trip to buy cigarettes ended with two men getting stabbed and a third landing in jail.

Two men, ages 38 and 42, had been playing cards late Tuesday night at a house on Barr Elms Avenue when they decided to head over to Ingalls Park Food & Liquor to buy cigarettes, police said.

The men were joined on their trip by 48-year-old Roger Loden, police said, and when they reached the store’s parking lot, Loden pulled a pocketknife and stabbed the other two.
