
JOLIET, IL — A Joliet man wanted in connection with a home invasion and burglary has been captured, police said.
Christopher Ortiz, 20, was booked into the Will County jail early Tuesday.
Ortiz’s alleged accomplice, 27-year-old Cesar Zavala, was arrested and jailed Friday.

Zavala and Ortiz entered a home on Cleveland Avenue and hit a man in the head, according to a criminal complaint filed in Will County court.
Zavala is on parole. He was released from prison in October 2015 after serving time possessing a firearm for a felon. He previously did prison time for the reckless discharge of a firearm, possessing a firearm as a felon, and the manufacture or delivery of cannabis.

Zavala has been in custody since his arrest. His bond was set at $200,000. Ortiz’s bond was set at $175,000.
