Boogie with the YMCA This Saturday

Get out your dancing shoes for the Greater La Grange YMCA's Winter Bash and Boogie on Jan. 21.

Feel like you've got the winter blues? A fun night out might be just what you need. If you're like YMCA board member Joe Takash, you might want to bring your dancing shoes too.

You can join Takash and many more of your neighbors this Saturday, Jan. 21 for the . The event runs from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. and features an all-night premium open bar, lots of pizza and the killer sounds of cover band, Soda, to rock the night away.

"This is one of our signature events of the year," Takash said. "It's after the holidays—people want to get back out there and socialize."

According to Takash if you purchase your tickets today, you can still get the discounted rate of $80 per person , or online here. Tickets can be purchased through Saturday or at the door for $100 per person.

"This is an important event for us, and it supports a good cause," Takash said. "It's casual attire, but you'll probably want to put on a pair of dancing shoes."

Takash said he recently went out and bought his own pair just for the occasion.

The Boogie and Bash will be held at the , 4221 Lawn Ave., giving the event an old social club feel.

Not only will attendees get a fun night of music and drinks, they'll be contributing to a worthwhile cause, Takash said. Proceeds from the party will go towards the YMCA's Annual Fund, which will be used for scholarships, summer camps for kids and Special Olympics programming at the YMCA.

For the bash this year, the YMCA has partnered with in La Grange, Binny's Beverage Depot and Twilight Party Rental to put on another spectacular event.

"The YMCA is all about [local] partnerships, and we've recieved some great help this year," Takash said.

You don't need to worry about cutting loose either. The YMCA has partnered with 5th Ave. Cab Company to have rides waiting to take you home. Just call the company to reserve a car before the event.
