On Aug. 15, Trussell wrote a blog for Patch inviting Lisle to vote for her to become a finalist. In her , she wrote: "I am thrilled to be in the finals and having my picture on the same page as Mark Levin is beyond my wildest dream but I really want to win and just like when I decided to run a marathon last year, I need the support of my townies."
In her short biography on the WLS website, she wrote: "I deserve my own show because I am different from other conservative talk show hosts and WLS needs at least one host that critics can't call racist or a classist. I am a suburban wife, mother of 6 (including my daughter-in-law), volunteer and blogger, oh, yeah, I'm black."
Trussell will know in a few hours if she will get her chance.
