Viewfinder: Hoops for Heart; A Visit with Huskies

In our weekly feature we will document what is happening around Naperville.

In Viewfinder this week, we have some photos from two different school events.

On Wednesday, students at participated in Hoops for Heart fundraiser. Events took place throughout the campus. Students donated money to participate. One of the events included  wheelchair basketball games held throughout the day in the main gym. Students could pay $5 to play or $2 to watch and learn more. The funds will go to the American Heart Association on behalf of the school. Some funds will also go to the Windy City Warriors wheelchair basketball team.

On , students at had a visit from a team of huskies. Michael and Noel Dagley, brought seven of their huskies to the school to educate students about the Iditarod race and the dogs. The students and dogs were patient through the presentation, waiting for the moment when they were able to get to know each other.
