OSWEGO, IL — A new executive director was appointed to oversee the Oswegoland Park District.

The Board of Commissioners approved Chad Feldotto's appointment, effective Jan. 5. He previously worked as the director of parks and planning and was named deputy executive director on July 17, 2025, following former Executive Director Tom Betsinger's resignation.

Betsinger was initially placed on paid administrative leave amid charges stemming from several "intentional" attempts to run a man over in the parking lot of BrightFarms Greenhouse in Yorkville, then crashing into parked cars before fleeing, Patch reported.
