Bar Worker In Brawl With 'American Idol' Finalist Haley Reinhart Indicted

Adam Sobanski, 32, faces felony battery charges from July's fight at the Lampliter Inn that involved Reinhart and a group of friends.

An indictment was handed down this week against a worker accused of choking a friend of former "American Idol" finalist Haley Reinhart during a brawl at a Palatine nightspot last month, the Daily Herald reports. Adam Sobanski, 32, was arrested July 19 and charged with two counts of felony aggravated battery in connection with the July 8 melee Lamplighter Inn, 60 N. Bothwell St., that involved Reinhart, a Wheeling native, and a group of friends. If convicted, he could be sentenced to as many as five years in prison.

The indictment was announced by prosecutors on Thursday, the report stated. Prosecutors accuse Sobanski of putting Alan Chislof, 30, of Wheeling, in a headlock while Chislof was arguing with a bouncer. Before the brawl, workers at the Lamplight had asked Reinhart and her group to leave the bar because they were disruptive. Chislof's attorney said his client sustained a concussion, injuries to his head and face, and multple cuts and bruises.

A video of the brawl was posted on celebrity gossip site TMZ. Reinhart was charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly punching a Lamplighter bouncer in the face. (Get Patch real-time email alerts for the latest Palatine news. And iPhone users: Check out Patch's new app.)
