District 15 Welcomes 100 New Teachers

PALATINE, IL — Community Consolidated School District 15 kicked off their annual New Teacher Orientation Wednesday, and announced they've welcomed more than 100 new teachers to the district. According to a District 15 Facebook post, energy and excitement from the new teachers remained the same as years before, despite this year's event looking a little different due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The news of the new teachers followed this week's announcement from officials at District 211, District 15 and District 54, who on Monday announced their plans for the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.

District 211 students will connect remotely beginning Aug. 13, and District 15 students will start on Aug. 19.

Over in District 54, students in first through eighth grade will begin Aug. 24, and Aug. 31 for early childhood and kindergarten students.
