Driver Killed When Vehicle Collides With Toll Plaza Building: Police
The collision happened early Friday on Interstate 90 near the Barrington Road off-ramp.
BARRINGTON, IL — One person was killed and a toll plaza building started on fire following a collision on Interstate 90 near the Barrington Road off-ramp early Thursday in Hoffman Estates.
Illinois State Police say a vehicle struck the toll plaza building, and the driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Daily Herald.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
