Fire Damages Palatine Apartment Building

A fire in the 800 block of West Panorama Drive in Palatine has left 20 residents displaced. The fire broke out in the two-story, eight-unit building after 6 a.m. Saturday, according to the Palatine Fire Department. The fire is believed to be accidental.

Several apartments were uninhabitable. The American Red Cross was called in to help those left without shelter.

The fire was under control by 7 a.m. People were treated at the scene but none required hospitalization.
