Loaded Gun Found In Passenger's Waistband During Stop: Cops

The Arlington Heights man faces felony drug and weapons charges stemming from last week's incident, Palatine police say.

PALATINE, IL — An Arlington Heights man faces felony drug and weapons charges after he was allegedly found with a concealed and loaded handgun during a traffic stop last week, according to Palatine police. Quinton Felton-Lindo, 27, of the 2000 block of West Nichols Road, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a controlled substance in the incident.

According to police, Felton-Lindo was a passenger in a vehicle was pulled over just before 2 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, in the 200 block of North Smith Street. During the stop, officers discovered Felton-Lindo was allegedly concealing a loaded .25-caliber handgun in his waistband, police said. He also is accused of illegally carrying several prescription pills at the time, police added.

A background check on another passenger — Quindarius Williams, 21, of the 9000 block of South Greenwood Avenue, Chicago — revealed that he had an outstanding warrant from Wisconsin for a parole violation, police said. Felton-Lindo and Williams were taken in to custody, and the driver was released following an investigation, according to police.

Felton-Lindo was released on bond, and his next court date is March 7. Williams was to be extradited to Wisconsin, according to police.
