Mac's On Slade Gets Liquor License And Warning From Officials
According to news report, Mayor Jim Schwantz and village councilmen voted 5-1 Monday to grant the updated liquor license.
PALATINE, IL — Less than a month after downtown Palatine's Mac's on Slade, 117, W. Slade St., had its business license suspended, the village's elected officials gave a new liquor license to the bar and grill, the Daily Herald reported. Mayor Jim Schwantz and village councilmen voted 5-1 Monday to grant the updated liquor license Mac's needed to continue running with Laurie Joseph as the new co-owner, according to the Daily Herald. The news report added that Mac's shareholders Jeff Van Horn and Joseph had to appear before the village's liquor commission Monday, despite suspension being lifted.
The village suspended the license after it was disclosed that the bar's owner, Jam 5 Inc., had a stockholder whose name was not listed on earlier applications, as village ordinance requires full disclosure of partners and shareholders.
