Man Charged in Palatine Home Invasion, Police Searching for 2nd Suspect

One of two suspects was in court Monday and held on $400,000 bond for a Palatine home invasion in September of 2012, according to the Daily Herald.

Bond was set at $400,000 for a Berwyn man charged with tying up a Palatine woman and holding her at gunpoint as he and another unknown suspect burglarized the home last fall, according to the Daily Herald.

Nicholas Anderson, 19, faces up to 30 years in prison and faces multiple charges, according to the Daily Herald. A second male suspect has not been located by authorities.

On September 26, 2012, the 46-year-old Palatine woman was bound with duct tape, and tied up by the two armed men during a home invasion in the 400 block of West Brookline Court.

The woman, who had just gotten home from a morning workout, was tied up and left in her basement. She reportedly struggled for two hours before freeing herself from the restraints.

In addition to the men burglarizing her home, they also took off in her Cadillac Escalade, which was later found on Monroe Street in Chicago.

Anyone with information about the second suspect can contact Palatine Police Investigators at 847-359-9000.
