Funeral Mass for Monica G. LaVigne (nee Lahey), 47, of Hoffman Estates since 1999, will begin Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness, IL 60067; where she will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass.

Father Terence Keehan will officiate.

Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Monica was born on July 27, 1966 in Dubuque, Iowa, and she passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Monica worked for Motorola in Schaumburg since 1994.  She enjoyed snow skiing, driving her Mach I Mustang and spending time with her family and friends.

Monica was the beloved wife of Wayne; loving mother of Gwendalyn and Emily; dear daughter of Dorothy (nee Kress) Lahey and the late Eugene Lahey; fond sister of Frank (Lori) Lahey, Tina (Steve) Hefel, Tim (Amy) Lahey, Theresa (Scott) Ostwinkle, Greg (Trisha) Lahey, Ed (Megan) Lahey, Tony (Jody) Lahey, daughter-in-law of MaryAnn LaVigne and Wayne LaVigne; sister in law of Carl LaVigne, Chari (Mark) Wolf, Charlotte (Jeff) Greenlund and Arland (Dawn) LaVigne; and many nieces and nephews.
