No Students Hurt When Car Hits District 15 School Bus

The crash happened Tuesday near Smith Street and Northwest Highway.

PALATINE, IL — No one was hurt when a Community Consolidated School District 15 bus was involved in a chain reaction accident with a car Tuesday, the Daily Herald reports. The bus was carrying nine kindergarten students to Gray M. Sanborn Elementary, the report added.

According to a district spokeswoman, the accident happened near Smith Street and Northwest Highway as the bus was taking the students to kindergarten, which started at 12:50 p.m., the report stated. Two cars hit one another at the intersection, and the deflected vehicle ran into the school bus, the report added.

The students were allowed to continue to school after they were checked out by paradmedics, the report stated. A school nurse also examined the kids, the report added.
