Anthony N. Lamonica, from Northbrook, was charged with criminal sexual assault and ordered held on $50,000 bail Friday.

PALATINE, IL — A Northbrook man was charged with criminal sexual assault Friday after he allegedly raped a Palatine woman in her home during a date last month. Anthony N. Lamonica was ordered held on $50,000 bail stemming from the incident, and his next court date is May 31, the Daily Herald reports.

According to prosecutors, Lamonica set up a date with the woman April 6, the report stated. The two had met around a year earlier at a Libertyville bar, the report added.

As the date was winding down, the woman said she needed to pick up her dog from a neighbor, and Lamonica accompanied the woman to her home, the report stated. While there, he allegedly began touching her, but she told him she didn't want to have sex, the report added.
