UPDATED: Palatine Fire Extricates Man from Vehicle Monday Night

A car accident occurred at Palatine and Roselle roads on Monday before 7 p.m. Three men received non-life threatening injuries.

Palatine Police Commander Kurt Schroeder said 19-year-old Siddhanth Suresh, of the 0-100 block of E. Benton Street in Palatine, was ticketed in the two-car accident that occurred the evening of Monday, June 24. 

Suresh was driving a Range Rover, and was cited for failure to yield to another vehicle driven by an area man in his 50's, at the intersection of Palatine and Roselle roads. 

The specifics of the accident and how it occurred, along with the condition of the injured was not immediately available, Schroeder said. 

EARLIER:

A two-vehicle car crash at Palatine and Roselle roads Monday night required the extrication of one victim by the Palatine Fire Department. 

Fire department personnel arrived on the scene at 6:51 p.m. Monday and observed two vehicles with significant damage and three men injured, according to a Palatine Fire Department press release. 

An adult male required extrication from one of the vehicles and was then trasnported to St. Alexius Medical Center, the release states. The two other adult males were taken to Northwest Community Hospital. 

All three men received apparent non-life threatening injuries, the release states.

In addition to 13 firefighters, a fire engine, one tower ladder truck, a rescue squad and three ambulances from Palatine Fire Department were at the scene, along with one command officer. Palatine Rural Fire Department also responded to provide assistance due to the automatic aid agreement. 

The investigation into the accident continues.
