Palatine Warehouse Plans For 'Mystery' Company Approved
The project developer won't share the company moving in to the warehouse and distribution center planned for 317 S. Hicks Road.
PALATINE, IL — Village of Palatine council members approved a revised proposal this week related to a warehouse and distribution center planned for 317 S. Hicks Road, the former spot of H.B. Fuller Company sealant factory, according to the Daily Herald. The future 43-foot-tall, 162,000 square-foot building will sit on 18 acres purchased by Rosemont-based Conor Commercial Real Estate, but the developer said the company that would take over the building will remain a mystery to the public for now, the news report said.
Conor's original plan was approved in July by council members and included a 337,800-square-foot building. The warehouse and distribution center should be finished by September, according to the Daily Herald. The facility would have 20 truck loading docks and more than 600 spaces in its parking lot, used to load vans with packages for distribution nearby, the Daily Herald said. Palatine Councilman Tim Millar questioned the future traffic flow possible disruption to Palatine Township Elementary Township District 15 buses, and other nearby factors.
