Palatine Woman Donates To K-9 Unit In Her Beloved Dog's Honor

The Palatine Police Department and village thanked the woman for her thoughtful donations after her dog passed away.

PALATINE, IL — A Palatine resident is honoring her dog, which recently passed away, by donating her furry friend's medicines, toys and more to the Palatine Police Department K-9 Unit.

According to a Facebook post from the village of Palatine, Officer Raul Contreras and his K-9 partner, Hondo, visited Carol Chipman, who donated heartworm prevention medication, treats and toys to the police K-9 unit.

"Hondo and Puma (not pictured) were very grateful," the post reads.

The village and police department thanked Chipman for her thoughtfulness.
