Pet Resort Comes To Palatine
Boarded dogs will be able to chill with Animal Planet after their hair and nails are done at Pete and Mac's upscale pet resort.

PALATINE, IL — A luxury spa and resort for dogs is coming to Palatine, complete with beds, TVs and fleece for the furry friends. Pete and Mac's, an Arizona grooming and boarding chain, is set to open in Palatine Plaza next week.
Pete and Mac's will offer boarding, dog day care, pet grooming and pet training in a 12,000-square foot space with glass-block rooms to accommodate about 100 pets. The overnight lodging includes elevated beds, fleece blankets and televisions that air the Animal Planet network.
Dogs will have access to outside playtime.

Gay Barwald, Pete and Mac's president and CEO, told the Daily Herald that they spent about $1 million to convert the former Hobby Lobby space on Northwest Highway to create Pete and Mac's Pet Resort.
Overnight stays will range from $34 to $58 , the Herald reported.
