Ready, Set, Remote Learning: District 211, 15, 54 Announce Plans

School officials from the local districts announced students and staff will start the school year with remote learning on these dates.

PALATINE, IL — The state's largest school district will kick off the school year with all students connecting remotely to their classes on Aug. 13, Township High School District 211 Superintendent Lisa Small said in a letter emailed Monday to families. District 211's feeder districts, Palatine Township Elementary 15 and Schaumburg Township Elementary 54, will also start the school year remotely, officials said.

"Once COVID-19 case rates consistently decline in our region, we will begin to allow
small, controlled numbers of students to enter the school building in academic
support settings," Small said, in the letter.
