Wolff's Flea Market Closes Palatine Location

Co-owner Don Wolff said he plans to reopen a new indoor market near Rosemont

PALATINE, IL — Wolff's Flea Market, Palatine's beloved one-stop shop for discounted snacks, antiques and kitsch, is closing its doors. The flea market's last day is January 27.

The building on Rand Road at a former Menard's site will be replaced by Napleton's Automotive Group's car dealerships, The Daily Herald reported.

Wolff told the Herald that he never thought he'd see the market leave Palatine.
"It is going to be sad," he said.

Shoppers have flocked to the market for nine years in search of deals on vinyl records, small appliances, packaged goods and "totally weird stuff."

Village officials sold the nine-acre lot to Napleton in August for $2.5 million.
