ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Fourth of July is just two days away, and it falls on a Thursday this year, which means that many workers outside the service industry will get that day off.

The Village of Romeoville said that Village Hall, the Recreation Center, Fit4 Life Fitness Center, Aquatic Center, and the Athletic and Event Center will all be closed on Thursday for the holiday.

Banks will also be closed on July 4, as well as libraries.

Many stores, restaurants and major retailers will remain open, but hours may be reduced. It's always best to call ahead before you head out.

The Village said that Waste Management garbage pick-up will also be pushed back a day if your pick-up is on Thursday or Friday. Thursday pick-up will be on Friday, and Friday pick-up will be on Saturday.
