Valentine's Day Card Drive For Seniors Hosted By Loughran Cappel
Once all the cards have been collected, they will be delivered to various senior facilities in the 49th District.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel is inviting area residents to participate in a Valentine's Day card drive, which will collect cards for local seniors in the 49th District, according to a release from her office.
Cards can be homemade or store-bought.
“Writing a card or small note to our seniors is an easy way to show our appreciation for them,” said Loughran Cappel. “Each year we have dropped off hundreds of cards that truly make each and every one of them smile. Let’s come together to make sure our seniors know they are important to our communities.”

Loughran Cappel is encouraging community members in the area to write Valentine’s Day cards, which can be dropped off or mailed to her district office. Once all the cards have been collected, they will be delivered to various senior facilities in the 49th District, according to a release.
The collection will run through Feb. 9. Those wishing to participate can drop off cards at Loughran Cappel’s office or mail them to 20660 Caton Farm Road, Unit D, Crest Hill, IL 60403.
