Valley View Unveils Proposed 2020-2021 School Calendar
The school district is seeking input before board members vote to approve the calendar.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — Valley View School District has released its proposed calendar for the 2020-2021 school year. The district is asking families to weigh in on the calendar before Board of Education members vote on its approval.
The new calendar was presented to the school board at this week's meeting, and the board is expected to vote on the calendar and at upcoming meeting. There are a number of changes over the current school calendar.
The biggest change is that, with a national election next year, students will have off on the Election Day 2020 on Nov. 3. The first day of school will be on Aug. 14, 2020, three days earlier than this year's first day back to school.
