SHOREWOOD, IL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

What makes your Mom extra special?
My mom is an amazing, strong woman. She is always there for her family no matter what. She is one of a few who care for my grandfather. She has had a lot on her plate the last few years and she just powers through no matter what. She is the glue to our family and I only pray that one day I can be half the woman that she is.
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
My mom deserves to be in the spotlight because she is the strongest woman I know.
