Abreu Battling 'Flu-Like' Illness, Will Still Head To Houston
The team said José Abreu has tested negative for COVID-19, but it's still unclear if he'll be well enough for Game 1 of the playoffs.

CHICAGO, IL — White Sox first baseman José Abreu has tested negative for COVID-19 and was heading to Houston Wednesday — a day behind his teammates — after "battling flu-like symptoms over recent days," the team said.
The team said Abreu's symptoms are improving but it wasn't yet known if he will play as the team faces off against the Astros in Game 1 of the American League Division Series.
That decision will be made Thursday, the White Sox said in a statement via Twitter.
