1 Dead, 2 Critically Injured In St. Charles Crash
An infant was also injured in the two-vehicle crash Friday morning in the 4400 block of Lincoln Highway.
ST. CHARLES, IL — A DeKalb woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in St. Charles Friday morning and two others were critically injured, police said.
The crash, which sent four people to the hospital, happened in the 4400 block of Lincoln Highway at about 9:30 a.m. Friday, according to a news release from the St. Charles Police Department.
When police arrived at the scene they found a 2024 Kia overturned and a 2015 black GMC with heavy front-end damage. A 50-year-old DeKalb woman was ejected from the Kia, and a passenger, a 49-year-old man, needed to be extricated before he was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
All of the occupants in the GMC were all taken to Delnor Hospital. A 30-year-old Maple Park woman was listed in critical condition while a 30-year-old man and an infant child were reported to be OK, police said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and the St. Charles Police Department is encouraging anyone how might have witnessed the collision to contact them at 630-377-4435.
