$33K Raised For Family Of St. Charles North Football Player
Aidan Carlson, a sophomore at St. Charles North, was seriously injured during a football game against St. Charles East earlier this month.

ST. CHARLES, IL — More than $33,000 has been raised to help the family of a St. Charles North High School sophomore who suffered a severe brain injury during a football game earlier this month. A GoFundMe was set up boy Sean Peters, Aidan Carlson's uncle, after the football player was seriously injured and airlifted to Lutheran General.
"At this time I’m hoping we can begin to start raising funds for him and his family," wrote Peters on the GoFundMe page. "I’m hoping we can help them so they can focus on Aidan’s recovery , and not the many other concerns that are bound to come eventually."
Aidan was initially in a coma, which he came out of days after the football game. He's undergoing many different procedures and as of last week, remained hospitalized. He is now receiving inpatient recovery and has started walking again, according to the GoFundMe.

Carlson was "so proud to wear no. 19 for the North Stars." "He loves his school and team," Sean wrote.
