Child, 5, Dies After Being Hit By Car In Driveway In St. Charles: Cops
The incident happened Tuesday evening in the 4000 block of Royal Fox Drive in St. Charles, police said.
ST. CHARLES, IL — A 5-year-old child has died after being hit in his driveway in the 4000 block of Royal Fox Drive in St. Charles Tuesday evening, authorities said Wednesday.
The St. Charles police and fire departments were called to the home at about 5:10 p.m. where they found a neighbor performing life-saving measures on the child, according to a news release from the police department.
Paramedics took over life-saving measures, and the child was taken to Delnor Hospital in St. Charles, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as an immediate family member of the child, according to authorities.

The St. Charles Police Department is continuing to investigate the crash and has been assisted by the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team.
