ST. CHARLES, IL — The Saint Charles Park District announced several park amenity closures through April 7 in an effort to follow Governor J.B. Pritzker's Stay at Home Order. According to a post on the St. Charles Park District Facebook page, City parks and trails will stay open daily from dawn to dusk, as the governor's order specifically states people may leave their home to engage in outdoor activity at public parks and open outdoor recreation areas for walking, hiking, running or biking if they comply with social distancing requirements. However, playgrounds must be closed.

The following St. Charles park amenities will be closed through April 7:

  • Boat launch
  • Disc golf
  • Dog parks
  • Playgrounds
  • Skate parks
