D303 To Release COVID Protocol For School Year In Coming Weeks

The school district plans to share information on how it will handle SHIELD testing, quarantine, social distancing and more.

ST. CHARLES, IL — In the coming weeks, St. Charles School District 303 officials plan to announce COVID-19 rules they will enact this school year.

During a school board meeting Monday, D303 superintendent Paul Gordon said the protocols would include updates on how schools will handle positive COVID results, SHIELD testing, quarantine, sick students, social distancing and more, according to the Kane County Chronicle.

“What I will assure our community is that it is my expectation that D-303 have a consistent approach in each and every school,” Gordon said. “It is also the board’s expectation that we have that consistently applied throughout D-303.”
