Flood Warning Across Kane County As Fox River Continues To Rise
The NWS advises Kane County residents to turn around and find an alternate route upon encountering a flooded roadway.

KANE COUNTY, IL — The National Weather Service Chicago issued a flood warning Thursday morning throughout Kane County that remains in effect, as the Fox River was above 9.5 feet Thursday afternoon at Algonquin Lock & Dam Tailwater, or from Johnsburg downstream to Red Gate Road in St. Charles. The river is expected to rise to flood stage Saturday afternoon, according to NWS.
According to the NWS, the flood warning continues the Fox River At Montgomery, or from Red Gate Road in St. Charles downstream to Millington until late Sunday night. At 9:15 a.m. Thursday, the river's flood stage at this location was over 13 feet.
The NWS advises residents to turn around and find an alternate route if you encounter a flooded roadway.
