Flood Warning Remains In Effect Through Weekend On Fox River
The flood warning will continue through Monday afternoon for the Fox River from Johnsburg downstream to St. Charles.

ALGONQUIN, IL — A flood warning remains in effect for the Fox River in McHenry and Kane counties.
On Friday, the National Weather Service issued the flood warning through Monday afternoon for the Fox River from Johnsburg downstream to Red Gate Road in St. Charles. The flood warning does include the Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater gauge, according to the National Weather Service.
As of 8:30 a.m. on Friday, the flood stage was 10.2 feet. At 10 feet, flooding can occur along Winaki and Onaway trails south of Algonquin.

The river is expected to fall back below flood stage Monday morning.
