Indoor Pickleball Complex Could Be Coming To St. Charles
City officials are mulling over plans for a commercial development near Charlestowne Mall.
ST. CHARLES, IL — A commercial development that could include an indoor pickleball complex, restaurants, retail and entertainment options is being considered for an area near Charlestowne Mall.
The St. Charles Plan Commission heard more about plans for the proposed development, which would be constructed on a 7.5-acre vacant lot near the northeast corner of Kirk Road and Route 64, during a meeting this past week, the Kane County Chronicle is reporting.
The development would consist of four buildings that would be situated around a plaza, with three of the buildings housing restaurants and commercial space and the fourth housing a 20,000-square-foot, two-story pickleball facility. Outdoor dining, a community place and valet parking is also being proposed for the space.
