Kane Co. Closes Courthouses, Government Center Due To Weather
Kane County has nixed in-person services but will hold court hearings via Zoom, with plans to reopen its facilities Tuesday.
KANE COUNTY, IL — Kane County Government closed its non-emergency departments for in-person services starting at 12 p.m. The Kane County Government Center, at 719 S. Batavia Ave. in Geneva, will also be closed on Friday and Monday for the holidays and will reopen Monday.
The Kane County courthouses and the Kane County Circuit Clerk's Office also closed at noon on Friday, with plans to reopen Tuesday. Scheduled cases will be heard via Zoom, according to the news release from Kane County.
Meanwhile, the Kane County Recycling centers in Batavia and West Dundee will be closed Friday, with plans to reopen Tuesday.

Kane County department staff will be working remotely during regular business hours and will be answers emails and phone cals, according to the news release. In-person services at other government offices may vary and residents are urged to call ahead before trying to stop out.
