Kane County Fair Kicks Off In St. Charles

ST. CHARLES, IL — This year's Kane County Fair got underway Wednesday and will continue through the weekend.

The fair, located at the fairgrounds in St. Charles, 525 South Randall Road, has a little bit of everything when it comes to entertainment from musical acts to a a Midway with carnival rides to racing pigs and so much more. The Midway's hours of operation will be from 3 to 11 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Outside exhibitors close two hours before the Midway shuts down, according to the fair's website.

Nightly entertainment includes:

THURSDAY

• 7 to 9:30 p.m.: ERIC CHESSER

FRIDAY

• 7:30 p.m.: Professional championship bull riders and cowgirls

SATURDAY

• 5 to 7 p.m.: Mark Atkins
• 7:30 p.m.: Professional championship bull riders and cowgirls
• 8 to 10:30 p.m.: Pino Farina Band
• 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.: Hillbilly Rockstarz

SUNDAY

• 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.: Demolition Derby
• 3 to 5 p.m.: Orquesta Iluziones
• 8 to 10 p.m. Hi Infidelity

During the fair, the following acts will take place throughout the Midway.

• Rhinestone Roper
• Petting Zoo
• Kiddy Land
• Swifty Swine Racing Pigs
• Fantasy Amusements Ride Co.
• Classic JP Car Show; Saturday and Sunday all day
• Woodcarver daily

The cost for admission to the fair is $5 on Wednesday and Thursday and $10 on Friday and Sunday for adults and $5 for children. Children ages 3 years old and younger are free.

A season ticket to the fair is $25. Senior citizens more than 62 years old are free Thursday until 5 p.m. and those with military ID are also free through 5 p.m. on Thursday.
