ST. CHARLES, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Why do you believe the local hero should be recognized or honored?

Lethal Lisa meets her people at their level and merely thru her positive vibes and pure care makes you want to be a better person. She has uplifted so many people, including myself, who felt they were too far gone to succeed at any fitness journey. She is always positive, upbeat and addictively supportive. You can't help but adore her and WANT to be a better you with her. I suffer from a progressive chronic neuromuscular disorder that at one time left me hemiplegic. I never dreamed I'd be able to lift weights or dance or exercise again at the level I am. She has made my life better. I have a FitFam now that I cannot imagine being without. What she has done and how she has done it is a rare gift. We all feel special. We all feel capable. We all feel worthy. That's so hard to come by anymore. She does it because she loves it and it oozes out of her. She is my hero and I am a better person for being one of her warriors.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the local hero?

She is incredibly humble and complete genuine.
