Local High School Dancers Compete For State Title
The IHSA state dance competition will be held this weekend.

ST. CHARLES, IL -- Suburban high school dance teams will be headed to state this weekend, and St. Charles North and East dancers will be among the elite group competing for a state title. St. Charles East placed first in the Class 3A sectional competition last weekend in Huntley and St. Charles North finished in fourth place. Dance performances at the state competition got underway on Friday, Jan. 25, at Grossinger Motor Arena in Bloomington.
The prelims will be held on Friday and finals will be Saturday. Live streaming will be available on the NFHS Network.
Geneva High School and Batavia High will also compete at this year's state competition. Geneva placed first at the Class 3A section held in Geneva on Jan. 19 and Batavia placed in third at the same sectional competition.
