Man Airlifted To Hospital After Falling From Moving Vehicle: Police

KANE COUNTY, IL — A 40-year-old man was seriously injured when he fell out of a moving car in Elburn Tuesday afternoon.

Jose Moreno was sitting in the passenger seat of a 2017 Toyota sedan when he was going to roll down a window but instead opened up the door of the vehicle and fell out while his sister, Judy Moreno, was driving on Route 38 west of Route 47 at about 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office.

Jose Moreno was airlifted from the scene of the incident to Good Samaritan Hospital where he remains hospitalized, authorities said.

The Kane County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the crash. The Kane County Drone Unit and the Kane County Office of Emergency Management is also assisting in the investigation.
