Man Accused Of Stabbing His Friend In St. Charles: Police
Stephen Perdue, 34, has been charged with armed violence and aggravated battery.

ST. CHARLES, IL — A 34-year-old man faces charges for allegations he stabbed his friend in St. Charles early Wednesday.
The St. Charles Police Department responded to a reported disturbance at about 1 a.m. on Wednesday in the 3800 block of Chesapeake Road, according to a news release from the police department. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who was bleeding significantly from a wound to one of his arms.
An officer used a tourniquet on the man and paramedics were called to the scene, police said. Rich Clark, a patrol commander for the St. Charles Police Department, said he was taken to Northwestern Delnor Hospital and released later that day.

The man told officers he was inside his friend's home on Chesapeake Road when he was stabbed by him, according to the news release. The friend was later identified as Stephen Perdue, 34, of St. Charles, police said.
Perdue remained inside his home following the incident and the Kane County SWAT team was called to the scene to assist. After a search warrant was obtained, SWAT team members entered the home and took Perdue into custody, according to a news release.

Perdue has been charged with armed violence, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery/great bodily harm.
