Man Pulled Gun Out At Bar, Pointed It At Passing Cars: Police
The Campton Township man now faces charges following the incident early Saturday in downtown St. Charles.

ST. CHARLES, IL — A 23-year-old Campton Township man faces weapons charges for allegations he pointed a handgun at vehicles passing the bar he was inside in St. Charles early Saturday.
Dalton T. Geni, of the 5N700 block of Tanager Court, has been charged with two counts of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon, aggravated assault and aggravated assault use of a deadly weapon in connection with the Saturday incident at the bar in the 0 to 99 block of North 3rd Street.
An employee at the business called 911 at about 12:20 a.m. to report a person who was armed inside the bar. According to police, Geni pulled a gun from his waistband and turned on a weapon-mounted flashlight.

He then pointed the gun at passing vehicles on North 3rd Street, according to a news release from St. Charles Police.
He got up from his table, still holding the handgun, and walked behind the bar where an employee was still on the phone with 911. He then left the business, police said.

Police who were on patrol on foot in the area immediately responded and stopped Geni while he was leaving the bar. Geni, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, was detained, police said.
Geni did have a valid FOID card and concealed carry license but it is unlawful to carry a firearm in any place, which is licensed to sell alcohol.
A court date for Geni has been set for March 20.
