ST. CHARLES, IL — A St. Charles restaurant has been picked among Chicago-area mothers as one of the best places to enjoy Mother's Day, according to a recent survey.

Mixbook, a photobook agency, surveyed more than 3,100 mothers to find out what are "the most coveted local Mother's Day restaurants" to stop out to on Mother's Day, which is this Sunday. Coming in at No. 2 was Montarra in Algonquin.

“Mother’s Day is about more than just gifts - it’s about connection,” said a spokesperson for Mixbook. “We wanted to find out where moms truly want to spend quality time with their loved ones, and these restaurants reflect that mix of heart, setting, and unforgettable food. It’s about creating memories - one meal at a time.”

The local restaurant at 40W099 IL-64 in St. Charles has "grand Scottish fare," including beef Wellington, haggis and scotch eggs.

"The restaurant's lush, dark Scottish wood tones, coffered ceilings, and tartan carpets create an ambiance that transports you to the Scottish countryside. The Sunday menu features an authentic Scottish high tea with ingredients sourced from the Isles and local farmers," according to the Mixbook press release.
